Talent Mobility
Retaining employees is a priority for Arizona State Government; however, customer demands and technology require us to transform the way we do business. If a current process is found to be wasteful, redundant or unfunded, and no longer adds value from the customer’s perspective, we must be flexible in our ability to remove the process. Doing so may result in an employee losing their job. Because State government is seen as one cohesive enterprise, the Statewide Talent Mobility Guidelines are designed to assist agencies to work cohesively to provide greater opportunities for employee talent to be retained and repurposed. While agencies are not obligated to find roles for employees whose positions are eliminated, the Guidelines offer increased opportunity, time and support for impacted employees.
