The Office of the Secretary of State publishes the Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.), the official compilation of rules that govern state agencies, boards, and commissions, and the Arizona Administrative Register (A.A.R.), the official publication to track rulemaking activity. The Secretary of State’s website notes that the paper copies of these publications are the official copies and provides a disclaimer regarding the electronic versions.

Summary:
The Department is proposing to amend rules in 2 A.A.C. Chapter 5, Department of Administration – State Personnel System (SPS) for the following purposes:
- to address issues identified during the configuration of AZ360 Human Resources (the HRIS Modernization Project), anticipated to go live in May 2025; and
- to implement the provisions of Laws 2024, Ch. 249, which adds additional job classes within the Arizona Department of Corrections to covered service, and permits current uncovered employees who are moved from uncovered to covered service as a result of and on the effective date of the legislation to retain the annual leave benefits (accrual and accumulation) of uncovered employees.
The Notice of Rulemaking Docket Opening and the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking were published in the Arizona Administrative Register on November 22, 2024.
