MAP - Statewide Competencies

The links below are provided as guidance to assist supervisors in evaluating an employee’s performance for each Competency. The standards are suggestive of the areas that may be targeted for consideration in the evaluation. The descriptive examples will aid a supervisor in applying the rating scale to an individual competency component and to the competency overall.

The Statewide competencies are designed to promote excellence in State government.  All State Personnel System employees will be evaluated on the following competencies:

• Accountability
• Teamwork and Cooperation
• Leadership and Supervision (for Supervisors)
