Minimum Requirements for KnowledgePresenter Development System:
- Windows 2000, XP, Vista (32 or 64 bit) or Windows 7
- 200Mb Free Disk Space
- 1Gb RAM
- Mouse
- Microsoft Windows Media Player >7.1
- Internet Explorer 5
- 600Mhz Celeron - faster processor recommended for larger lessons or those that contain multimedia
Recommended System for KnowledgePresenter Development System:
- Windows XP, Vista (32 or 64 bit) or Windows 7
- >2Gb Free Disk Space
- >2Gb RAM
- Mouse
- Microsoft Windows Media Player >10
- Internet Explorer 8
- At least 1024 x 768 display
- As fast a machine as you can get! (1Ghz CPU Pentium and above)
Playback System (end user requirements).
These system requirements relate to end users who are playing back lessons created in KnowledgePresenter. We have extensively tested lessons and web pages created in KnowledgePresenter with the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 6 and above Windows
- Mozilla 1.7.1 and above Windows
- Netscape 6 and above Windows
- Firefox Windows
- Google Chrome
- Safari Windows
- Opera 7 and above Windows
- Avant Browser Windows
- Internet Explorer 5 and above Macintosh
- Mozilla Macintosh
- Netscape 6 and above Macintosh
- Firefox Macintosh
- Opera Macintosh
- Safari Macintosh
- Safari IPhone, IPOD Touch, IPAD
- Mozilla Linux
- Firefox Linux
The only other additional requirements an end user may have to play back a lesson created in KnowledgePresenter relate to whether you have imported any Flash, QuickTime, Windows Media, Real, or Authorware content. Under these circumstances, the end user requires a plugin installed capable of playing back this content. For Flash content, this is the Flash MX plugin, for Windows Media Player, this is at least Version 7. If you have imported or recorded audio, then the Flash MX player is required by the user to play back the audio.
If there is no Windows Media plugin available or installed for a certain browser, for example, and you use Windows Media Content, it may not work correctly in that browser.
