Capitol Rideshare

The Arizona Travel Reduction Program Office

The Travel Reduction Program (TRP) Office, which provides travel reduction services branded as Capitol Rideshare, is a program mandated under ARS 49-588, a subsection of the Travel Reduction Program law.  This law requires all employers in Maricopa County with 50 or more employees to implement a plan to reduce the number of employees who drive alone to the work site to 60 percent or less of the agency’s total employee population (the Single Occupancy Vehicle rate).

Share the Ride

Capitol Rideshare offers a variety of incentives and resources to help state employees share the ride. Staff will work with you to help find the option that best meets your needs. Check out the available options to see what might work best for you—biking, walking, mass transit (bus or light rail), vanpool or carpool.

Commuter Club

If you use an alternate mode at least twice a week (transit, carpool, telework, bike, walk, vanpool, compressed work week), you are eligible for Commuter Club membership powered by RideAmigos. There is no cost to join. Membership is available to State of Arizona employees in Maricopa County (non-university). Benefits include an emergency ride home from work through Lyft, trip planning options on the RideAmigos dashboard, trip logging to track money and pollution saved, and opportunities to win prizes!
