MAP Agency-Selected Competencies
The links below are provided as guidance to assist supervisors in evaluating an employee’s performance for each Competency. The standards are suggestive of the areas that may be targeted for consideration in that evaluation. The descriptive examples will aid a supervisor in applying the rating scale to an individual competency component and to the competency overall.
In addition to the required Statewide Competencies, each agency establishes three competencies that apply to their employees. Sometimes, these competencies will vary by division within an agency or by job classification. Check with your supervisor or agency Human Resources office to find out which competencies will be used in your area.
